Lybolt – Caleigan (Middletown
Times Press, 4 June 1917)
Fred Lybolt, of Scotchtown, and Miss Marion Caleigan, of Mud Mills,
were united in marriage at the Webb Horton Memorial manse by the
Rev. Dr. E. Van Dyke Wight, this afternoon at 1:30 o’clock.
They were attended by Osa M. Lybolt and Edward F. Lybolt. They will
make their home at Scotchtown.
Buckmaster –
Norris (Middletown Times Press, 28 December 1918)
Scotchtown, Dec. 28 – a pretty wedding took place at the Scotchtown
manse on Christmas Day, when Miss Ruth Evelyn Norris was united
in marriage with Clarkson Manley Buckmaster, by the Rev. Frank B.
Schoonover. They were attended by the bridegroom’s brother
and wife and Albert Norris and Miss Mary Emma Osburn. After the
ceremony the couple left for a wedding trip, followed by the well
wishes of a host of friends. They will soon reside on the Anderson
farm in Crawford township.
Hayward – Bedford
(Middletown Daily Herald, 12 January 1925)
Miss Waneita Marleya Bedford, daughter of Mrs. Mary Bedford, of
Wallkill township, was married on Saturday, January 10th, at the
Scotchtown manse to Jesse James Hayward, formerly of Sayre, Pa.,
but an esteemed resident of Middletown for several years. He is
a chauffeur for the firm of L. R. Wallace. The Rev. Alexander J.
Kerr, D. D., pastor of the Scotchtown Presbyterian church, preformed
the ceremony. They were attended by the brother of the groom, Willard
Hayward, and his wife. They will for the present make their home
with the bride’s mother, Mrs. Mary Bedford, widow of the late
Jonas Bedford, on the Montgomery Road.
